Covid global numbers beyond 7 million, India on top 5 now Mumbai India has emerged in the top five countries affected by Coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, this is one tally we would have hoped to stand last, or not appear totally. However, the country has been reporting a spike in case especially after it opened for business. India’s cases may well touch 3,00,000 at the end of this week or start of the next. The number of deaths too have gone up. In a disastrous news, Maharashtra has exceeded China’s number of cases now with around 90,000 cases. Mumbai continues to register the maximum number of cases in the state. Delhi too saw a spike after the easing of the lockdown. It is registering as many as Mumbai’s tally of new cases now. Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan also have reported more than 10,000 cases. Globally, the number of reported cases have crossed 7 million with more than 5,00,000 deaths. The US has been witnessing a spike in cases while also seeing national protests against racism for the past few weeks. Brazil, Russia and the UK are just above India in the reported cases. In a good news, New Zealand has declared that it is Coronavirus-free now as the last patient had recovered and no new case was reported.
