Covid may never go away, says WHO New York The Coronavirus may never be eradicated fully, the World Health Organisation suggested recently even as the number of cases reached more than 4 million worldwide. The United States is still the worst-affected with more than 1.4 million positive cases and more than 80,000 deaths. Russia, Spain, Germany, Italy and the UK continue to reel under the pandemic. The WHO’s statement is grim, but it also means that we need to accept the reality and move forward with it. The countries around the world are slowly opening up their economies and easing the lockdown. Few countries like Ireland have even decided to start their domestic flights for internal travel. However, these are just early steps and nobody is sure if the lockdown would go away for good. A lot of suggestions from citizens indicate that common people want schools, colleges, malls, and any other crowded places to stay shut till some more time. A few companies, like Twitter, have already declared that their employees can work from home forever. Others are also working on the Work From Home procedures. Would working and studying from home be the new norm? Only time will tell. With almost all the governments ready to open the countries, the danger of virus is more than ever, but it also means we have to be more cautious. What do you think? Should we be allowed to go out in public or stay home and be safe?
