Saurav Ganguly is new BCCI boss

Saurav Ganguly has taken charge as the BCCI president. The Board of Cricket Control in India is the highest cricket governing body in the country. Ganguly is the only second Indian captain to hold the post. The last time it was held in 1954 by Maharajkumar of Vizianagram. Ganguly, who led India to 21 Test wins, has already been an administrator for the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). He was also part of the BCCI's technical panel in the past and a three-member Cricket Advisory Committee, alongside Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. He will hold this post for 10 months.
