Bullied for a year, girl develops anti-bullying app
A 9-year-old girl from Meghalaya’s capital Shillong has created an ‘Anti-Bullying App’ which will help children report their bullies anonymously and alert their teachers, guardians, and friends.
Meaidaibahun Majaw, a Class 4 student from Nonghymmai created the app after she herself faced repeated bullying by other students.
“I have experienced bullying in school since kindergarten. It affected me. I hated it so much that I was always on the lookout for a solution. No other child should have to go through the same,” Majaw said.
The app, which would soon be available on the Google Play app store.
