Football Frenzy: Major transfers this season
Football fans gear up for some fun this season. With the transfer window closed and main clubs getting mostly what they desired, the Champions League and other tours are going to be an entertaining affair. The most speculated story about the transfer though remains of Brazilian player Neymar Jr. While Barcelona tried hard to buy him off, the deal fell through because of transfer fee. The 27-year-old forward would stay, for now, with Paris Saint Germain.

The 19-year-old winger Portuguese João Félix became the fifth most expensive player in the history with transfer fee of €126m. The youngster joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica. He was the youngest player to score a hat trick in UEFA Europa league.
French forward Antoine Griezmann has joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for €120m. The 28-year-old player would sign a five-year contract that ties him to the Camp Nou tour.
Eden Hazard moved from Chelsea to Real Madrid for €100m plus add-ons. The 28-year-old Belgian will leave Stamford Bridge after seven hugely successful years at the club, winning the Premier League twice, one FA Cup and two Europa League titles.
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku joined Inter Milan from Manchester United for €80m. Lukaka has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for United, has signed a contract until 2024 at San Siro.
Lucas Hernandez has joined Bayern Munich from Atletico Madrid for €80m. The 23-year-old defender, who was part of France’s World Cup-winning squad in Russia last summer, has signed a five-year deal with the German champions and will become the most expensive player in Bundesliga history.
Mats Hummels has joined Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich for €38m. Hummels had earlier player for Borussia Dortmund from 2009-2016 after coming through the Bayern youth system.
Benjamin Pavard, the French defender, joined Bayern Munich from VfB Stuttgart for €35m. He made his debut in 2017 and won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong joined Barcelona from Ajax for €75m. He was Europe’s most sought-after young player, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also interested in signing him.
Ivan Perišić has got a transfer from Bayern Munich on a session long loan from Inter Milan. Perišić is a national player with most goals created at major tournaments.
The 18-year-old Brazilian-Portuguese forward Rodrygo Silva de Goes left Santa to join Real Madrid for €45m.
Only Neymar (PSG from Barcelona), Kylian Mbappe (PSG from Monaco), Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona from Liverpool) and Ousmane Dembélé (Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund) have cost more than Joao Felix.
