Koalas are in danger, and people are coming to help them
One of the most iconic animals of Australia is koala bear, and the raging bushfire has affected their population. Many videos surfaced where the animals were yelping for help. A large number of koalas have died in the fires.
But there are Samaritans ready to help and save. People from all over the world have come to the rescue of koala bears.
Shelters have been opened for the injured animals. Special clinics and doctors too are around to look after them.
In a video, a woman was seen running to save an injured koala. She took off her shirt to wrap it around the koala who had suffered burn injuries. Later, the animal was taken to koala hospital for treatment.
The rescuers have asked people to donate mittens, blankets, drapes, sheets and other stuff to take care of the animals. And the donations have helped a lot. Hope the animals get well soon.
And koalas are not the only animals being helped. Many people came to the rescue of any animal they saw was in trouble. There have been several videos showing people helping kangaroos, sheep, dogs and many other animals during the fire.
