Philippines kids turn dog poop into bricks

| Read time: 2 minute(s)

A group of school children in the Philippines are turning dog poop into ‘bio bricks’. As a class project, the Eight graders from Manila secondary school picked stray dogs’ poop from street and converted it into bricks. They gather and mix sun-dried feces with cement powder to form eco-friendly bricks for construction purposes. The students say their “bio bricks” are ideal for sidewalk pavements or small structures like backyard walls. Each brick contains 10 grams of dog poo and 10 grams of cement powder, and has a faint odor that the group says will fade with time. The stray dog issue is a big menace in Philippines as in any developing country. Hopefully with this trick there would be some relief!
