Shoe polish: A medium of making art!

We have read about Child prodigies from all around the world and our own country. How fascinating is it to see young minds create such extraordinary work. How about we talk about different mediums of making art. We know painting can be done with acrylic colours on canvas. Oil paints on canvas, wood, tin, aluminum. Crayons on paper. Watercolour on handmade paper, so on and so forth. Did you know you can even use fun mediums like shoe polish, or nail paint, or epoxy paint, or wood shavings or chalk ground into fine dust? Shoe polish is one great example that we can start with. This paste like consistency is so versatile that it can be used to create beautiful designs on paper with fingers, sponge, butter knife, wooden stick or even the good old brush. Just make sure that you are wearing rubber hand gloves before painting with hands so you do not paint your fine clothes! Shoe polish comes in an array of 16 different colours. Various shades of blacks, browns, light to medium tans. You can make Abstract Art, write words on a big sheet of paper, make a beautiful night time landscape or maybe make a great black and white illustration.
