Phoebe Waller Bridge’s excitement was contagious The rawness and excitement captured on Phoebe Waller’s face as she appeared on stage to receive her award for the Best Actress is a comedy series was a perfect example of how celebrities are just like every day people. Jokes and healthy banter The audience laughed at the sense of humour of Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel who amused one and all by complaining about the award show going host-less this year, suggesting that “Alexa” might take over the presentational duties instead. A speech that stood out There’s more to the Emmys than glitz and glam. Many stars pour their heart out in to their acceptance speeches. This year, Michelle Williams in particular caught everyone’s attention as she spoke about the importance of supporting women, especially women of colour at their workplaces. Amazon made a big win “Fleabag” an Amazon Prime comedy series made its big win as the show grabbed itself the award for best Comedy Series. On a side note... It was a proud moment for India as Saif Ali Khan’s digital debut “Sacred Games” was nominated for the Emmys under the Best Drama category.
