You can’t cheat in this Monopoly

The game of Monopoly hardly ends well. There are smug winners and arrogant losers. Not to mention the defaulters and thieves. And you can never trust a banker who may slide few notes here and there. Now Hasbro has introduced Monopoly Voice Banking where the banking is controlled by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) speaker. Players press buttons on the speaker and tell it what they want to do, like buy a property. Monopoly, in its new venture is integrating the game with the goodness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) including a smart assistant that is incapable of cheating. Also, it does not need Wi-Fi connectivity to function. This virtual assistant, or more appropriately, the AI Banker will be voiced by Monopoly’s luminary mascot Rich Uncle Pennybags or ‘Mr. Monopoly.’ The feature works like this: You talk and Mr. Monopoly listens. Your money will be managed by the banker entirely on voice commands such as ‘buy that hotel’, or ‘pay rent’ to which Mr. Monopoly will respond by transferring the payment to the co-player’s account. And, the game doesn’t include any money! That’s right, the AI controls all the transactions, so there’s no way for anyone to cheat. The new system should also help speed up the game. Fun fact The Monopoly game is based on Atlantic City, New Jersey. Charles Darrow, from Philadelphia, first developed the Monopoly game in 1933. The original game was made from materials from Darrow’s own home. A piece of oilcloth covered the board and the cards were handwritten.
