After Goa, Manipur claims to be Covid-free
This may seem like a small blessing but it does warm our hearts. Just a few days after Goa claimed that it had no more Coronavirus cases, northeastern state of India Manipur too claimed that it has gone Covid-free.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has said the state now has no COVID-19 active case as the second coronavirus patient was discharged from hospital after he tested negative for the deadly virus. Though the state has no COVID-19 active case, the people are still keeping vigil all the time. The discharged patients too would be kept under surveillance.
Manipur had two confirmed COVID-19 cases but both the patients, a 23-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man have recovered and have been discharged from hospital.
Goa was reported corona-free a few days back with the last seven positive cases also turning negative.
That made the coastal state to be the first state in the country to be a green zone. The state may now allow only certified negative Covid 19 people to enter the zone.
