Americans protests against racism Minneapolis The USA has erupted into a stream of protests after a black man named George Floyd was killed while being taken into custody by policemen. Though the policemen were suspended from duty, and one also fired from his job, the whole country has been witnessing protests for almost two weeks now. What is racism We all are born different. We are different in relation to our religions, our thoughts, our skin colours and even our origin. When we start differentiating people based on their skin colour and their place of origin, it is called racism. We all belong to different races, like Anglo, Oriental, Caucasian, African etc. What happens in America Just like India, America too has a lot of people who differ in their thoughts, religion, race and skin colour. Sometimes people from one race try to put down people from another race, and this leads to controversies. George Floyd was a black man and the policemen were all white. The protesters say that he was killed because of his race and skin colour. And many whites too support this claim. Because of this the US is witnessing protests in all its 50 states.
