Count the zeroes: Rs200,00,00,00,00,000 That’s the amount of money govt plans to put into economy New Delhi The Coronavirus pandemic is an unprecedented event. We have neither witnessed such calamity before, nor have heard something like this. India, with a population of more than a 100 billion, is under immense pressure to fight off this pandemic. And if WHO is to be believed, Covid 19 would never go away. So what do we do? We live with it. Precautions We already mentioned in our earlier stories how the government is taking steps to open up the economy while fighting the virus. The country has been divided into three zones… Red being most affected, Orange with few cases and Green Zone being the safest zone from the virus. This doesn't mean the lockdown would be over. You still may not go to school, meet friends and go out on vacations for a couple of more months but this also means that there would be few areas safe to travel, and do business. We would still have to follow the precautions. Washing hands, staying clean, using masks etc but we may be allowed in few areas to go out. Back to normal? Maybe not With this package of Rs 2 trillion, the government hopes to bring the slowing businesses back to their normal pace. But nothing would be normal anymore. We all need to understand that the virus has changed the world like nothing before. The life we were used to living would need few changes, for better. We should learn to respect nature, and above all, be kind to each other. As the number of cases in India pass more than 78,000, it is suspected that we may cross China’s number even this coming weekend. Maharashtra is still the most-affected state with more than 25,000 cases. Mumbai remains the most-affected city.
