Covid 19: India praised for handling the situation New Delhi As Coronavirus cases in India cross 2,000 more than 50 people have succumbed to the virus. And though the World Health Organisation (WHO) has praised the country for handling the situation well, India is facing one of the worst health emergency crises. Municipal workers, doctors, nurses and policemen are at the front line of work as more and more cases come to light. A religious meeting in Delhi, where more than 20,000 people participated, has led to the rise in the number of positive cases. Maharashtra crosses Kerala with the most number of cases. Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka too are reeling under pressure. Maharashtra is the most-affected state with more than 340 cases and more than 13 deaths. Kerala is the second most affected Indian state with more than 270 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with more than 240 cases and one death. The government has been urging people to stay at home and not to go out if not essential.
