Finally, Mickey gets his own ride!

Ever visited a Disney Park and wondered where is that Mickey ride? Yes, you guessed it right. Despite being Disney's official mascot for more than 90 years, Mickey Mouse never had his own ride at any of the company's theme parks. But that’s going to change now. Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway ride was unveiled at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The bright and colourful ride — in the park's Chinese Theatre where The Great Movie Ride used to be — gives visitors the impression that they are watching a cartoon featuring Mickey and Minnie come to life as the Disney characters look for the perfect place for a romantic picnic and then end up on a train ride on the Runnamuck Railroad. The ride borrows from Hollywood nostalgia. Once patrons enter the neon-marqueed theater, they are treated to the debut of a new Mickey Mouse short movie titled “Perfect Picnic.” The vehicle even has a spirit of its own that spins and dances while simulating electric shocks through the seats.
