Greta Thunberg reaches US on green boat
New York
We already know who Greta Thunberg is and what she’s doing. (Link). But this 16-year-old teenager is not just words, but actions too.
The youngster reached New York in a zero-carbon emissions sailing boat, completing her 15-day voyage from Britain.
Thunberg used the boat to raise awareness to the greenhouse gases emitted by the use of commercial airplanes. The climate crusader traveled aboard the Malizia II, which has its own solar panels and hydro-generators to power the yacht. Thunberg's yacht had no kitchen, no heating, no fridge and no bathroom.

She’s in the US to take part in a UN climate summit to be held this month. “It was a bit rough sometimes but it went incredibly well, and I didn't feel seasick, so I was extremely lucky,” she told reporters in a press conference. The United Nation sent out one boat for each of the 17 sustainable development goal to greet the young activist.
