India may continue lockdown as cases rise
The 21-day lockdown announced by the centre government was supposed to come to an end on April 14. But looking at the amount of rising cases, there’s all the possibility that you may have to stay indoors a bit longer.
Many states have already suggested that the lockdown be continued. States like Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha and New Delhi may not uplift the lockdown at all.
The number of positive cases rose to more than 5,700 even as more than 150 deaths were reported.
With 1,135 cases of COVID-19, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of infections, followed by Tamil Nadu (738) and Delhi (669).
