India may continue lockdown as cases rise New Delhi The 21-day lockdown announced by the centre government was supposed to come to an end on April 14. But looking at the amount of rising cases, there’s all the possibility that you may have to stay indoors a bit longer. Many states have already suggested that the lockdown be continued. States like Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha and New Delhi may not uplift the lockdown at all. The number of positive cases rose to more than 5,700 even as more than 150 deaths were reported. With 1,135 cases of COVID-19, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of infections, followed by Tamil Nadu (738) and Delhi (669). Maharashtra reported the highest number of infections. With more than 1,300 cases and more than 70 deaths, Maharashtra government is trying hard to contain the virus. The major hotspots across the country have been sealed. After Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi have reported the highest number of cases.
