India on top 10 Covid affected nations; US death toll crosses 1 lac Mumbai India surpassed China and Iran to become top 10 Coronavirus-affected countries. The country is relaxing lockdown rules in different states even as it reported more than 1,30,000 cases and 4,000 deaths. Maharashtra has been reporting the highest number of infections, mostly from Mumbai. Globally, the infection tally has crossed 5.6 million and the US alone has reported more than 17 lac cases. The country has reported more than 1,00,000 deaths while various states are still considering relaxing lockdown norms and opening businesses. The United Kingdom has reported the highest number of deaths due to Covid 19 in Europe and second only to the US internationally. Brazil and Russia too have reported spike in cases, Brazil has already crossed 5,00,000 mark. Spain, Germany, France, Turkey and Italy continue to fight the virus. But now it is spreading across South America and Africa too. Though many pharma companies are working on the vaccine, none have come out with conclusive results yet.
