India sees surge, many nations may witness second wave Mumbai India witnessed the highest one-day recorded Covid 19 infections with more than 80,000 cases. While Pune overtook Mumbai and Delhi as the new hotspot, other cities too have been witnessing a rise in numbers as lockdown rules get eased. Though the schools would remain shut this month too, business places are allowed to open. Even public transport would be started in a phased manner all over the country. Maharashtra continues to report the highest number of cases followed by Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Brazil is touching 4 million cases, ahead of India only with few more cases. The country is reeling under both economic and health crises. The USA continues to report the highest number of positive cases. The country has more than 6 million people who are infected. The global tally has crossed 260 millions.
