Book review
By Boski Gupta

Did you watch Mission Mangal and were blown away by the ladies behind the Mangalyaan? You’re not the only one. Not many of us know that thousands of women scientists are working shoulder-to-shoulder with their male counterparts in many organisations like ISRO and DRDO. We all know too well the contributions by Ritu Karidhal and M Vanitha in Chandrayaan II. But still, women scientists and their contributions are not mentioned as much as it deserves. 31 Fantastic Adventures in Science: Women Scientists in India salutes 31 such ladies who have contributed to Indian medical and science field. Nandita Jayaraj and Aashima Dogra, who manage The Life of Science, have interviewed more than 100 women in the field of science and compiled a book on the basis of these interactions. The book is not only inspiring but also fun to read; the illustrations make it colourful while the narration is like a life story.
