But among Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Angela Merkel, Selena Gomez, and singer Halsey, there are five Indians too who have been featured in the Time 100 list. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Though he missed the last two years, the Indian PM is back in the list as one of the most influential people in the world. After coming to power in 2014, Modi has been a recurring face on the list. He has appeared on it in 2014, 2015 and 2017 as well. And despite a lot of criticism against the government, the prime minister still stays as the most popular leader in the country. This 82-year-old grandmother became the face of protests against the disputed CAA and led many women in the peaceful sittings at Shaheen Bagh. Professor Ravindra Gupta Gupta has been working towards his research in functional HIV cure. In recognition of his work, he was appointed as Professor of Microbiology at the Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai We would have been surprised if this name was not there in the list. Google’s most favourite employee had to be one of the most influential people. His stellar rise from a small town in India to the swish office in the Silicon Valley is one of the most inspiring tales ever. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana It was on the cards, and finally he has got his due. Ayushmann Khurrana has made a mark in the industry marked by nepotism and favouritism. Instead of choosing run-of-the-mill movies just to earn money, Khurrana has been doing good films, giving outstanding performances and also earning numerous awards while getting recognition at the box office.
